Friday Night FOC Roundup!

Hey Everyone! Sorry that I missed last week. Just a small chore like moving a comic shop happened to get in the way, but we are back, and just in time for Friday's FOC roundup! Here we go! These titles are on Final Order Cutoff for Monday, October 22nd and will be in stores on Wednesday, November 14th! If you are interested in adding any of these to your pull, please let us know ASAP!

Here we go!

From Dark Horse Dr Horrible Best Friends Forever #0 hits the rack on 11/14! Dr. Horrible is back, and he's brought his best friend with him... Captain Hammer? The timestream has been breached, and who's to blame but the missus of time herself, Hourglass. But things are a bit peculiar in this seemingly present day with arch nemeses Dr. Horrible and Captain Hammer teaming up! If that's possible, then what else is? Revisit the hilarity, wit, and charm of Dr. Horrible in this unbelievable story of preposterous possibilities featuring cameos from some of the series' most horrible villains.

Also from Dark Horse and in stores 11/4, God of War #1 (of 4)! Kratos, God of War, has returned! His war on the gods of Olympus long past, Kratos builds a new life for himself in the remote Norse wilds. Seeking to put the rage that defined most of his life behind him, Kratos inadvertently sparks a feud with a mysterious cult of berserkers after attempting to save a stranger being mauled by a monstrous bear. But for the former Ghost of Sparta, no good deed goes unpunished.

Lastly from Dark Horse and in stores 11/14, William Gibson’s Alien 3 #1. This is the official adaptation of the original screenplay for Alien 3, written by William Gibson, the award-winning science fiction author of the cyberpunk cult classic Neuromancer. You'll see familiar characters and places-but not all is the same in this horrifying Cold War thriller! After the deadly events of the film Aliens, the spaceship Sulaco carrying the sleeping bodies of Ripley, Hicks, Newt, and Bishop are intercepted by the Union of Progressive Peoples. What the U.P.P forces don't expect is another deadly passenger that is about to unleash chaos between two governmental titans intent on developing the ultimate cold war weapon of mass destruction.

From DC and in stores on 11/14, ArtGerm’s variant cover for Catwoman #5! A secret hideout is supposed to be just that-secret. So how did her new villain's criminal crew know where to plant an explosive in Selina's new pad? As if that blow-up weren't bad enough, the cops come calling and arrest Selina for murder. Locked up without bail, Catwoman finds that she isn't very popular in jail, and must fight the other inmates just to stay alive and avoid a shiv. Will she make a deal with her new nemesis, that cagey Creel, or is orange the new black for Selina's foreseeable future?

Also from DC and in stores on 11/14, is a new mini-series called Electric Warriors #1 (of 6). A new tale of the future DC Universe, set in a previously unexplored timeline-the Cosmic Dark Age! Years after the Great Disaster, the Earth has started to rebuild and rejoin the universal coalition. In order to prevent a galactic war, different worlds throughout the known cosmos have created a new system of competitive combat to give each participating planet their own voice in the intergalactic struggle. Each world has one diplomatic gladiator, chosen to possess the Electric Seed and fight for their homeland as the Electric Warrior! Each fighter forsakes their personal life in the name of peace. So what happens when Earth can't choose a single combatant and sends two instead? The bruiser War Cry represents the humans of Earth, while Deep Dweller, a shape-shifter from the Octopus Tribe, represents the animal kingdom. Can they maintain one common goal, or will they tear Earth's tenuous coexistence to shreds and destroy the rest of the universe with it? Oh, and War Cry also has a powerful relic from Earth's past: Superman's cape!

Lastly from DC and in stores on 11/14, Wonder Woman #58 features a new creative team with writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Cary Nord! Far below Themyscira, Ares, the God of War, has been imprisoned for generations, repenting his past sins. But his new cellmate Grail may have an unexpected effect on him...and the plan they've come up with will change Themyscira-and the world- forever! When Wonder Woman rushes to Eastern Europe to rescue Steve Trevor from a mission gone wrong, she'll find herself face-to-face with a very new, very different God of War!

From Image, a new series makes its debut in Bitter Root #1 in stores 11/14. In the 1920s, the Harlem Renaissance is in full swing, and only the Sangerye Family can save New York-and the world-from the supernatural forces threatening to destroy humanity. But the once-great family of monster hunters has been torn apart by tragedies and conflicting moral codes. The Sangerye Family must heal the wounds of the past and move beyond their differences... or sit back and watch a force of unimaginable evil ravage the human race. DAVID F. WALKER and SANFORD GREENE, the creative team of Power Man and Iron Fist, along with indie veteran CHUCK BROWN (Trench Coats, Cigarettes and Shotguns) bring you 24 action-packed pages of monsters, mayhem, and family dysfunction in a brand-new ongoing series.

Also from Image and in stores on 11/14 is a One Shot called Elisabeth Dumn Agains the Devils In Suits. Elisabeth Dumn is a strong, rebellious girl who's determined to make her own way. Good thing too, because her father long ago promised her to the Devil and he's come to claim what's his. This is a story that will haunt you long after you've turned the final page. Part horror adventure, part surreal dreamscape, this original graphic novella features the amazing artwork of new Brazilian sensation ARABSON, with translation by Eisner Award-winner JAMES ROBINSON.

From Marvel, Avengers #10 (legacy #700) hits the stands on 11/14! THE EARTH'S MOST HATED HEROES?! After 700 issues of saving the world, you'd think the Avengers would be due some celebration. But instead the whole world seems to be gunning for them, especially Namor's fearsome new Defenders of the Deep and the reimagined Russian Super-Soldiers of the Winter Guard. And that's not to mention the shocking surprise the U.S. government has in store for our heroes. Plus: The all-new Agents of Wakanda! The mystery of the Avengers of 1,000,000 BC deepens! A key revelation concerning the resurrection of Wolverine! And the next startling new Avenger is revealed!

Also from Marvel, a new 5 issue mini series debuts on 11/14 featuring Thanos’s Black Order! Black Order #1 (of 5) FROM THE INFINITY WAR INTO THEIR OWN LIMITED SERIES! They are the five dreadlords, the Cull Obsidian, Thanos' most feared warriors and disciples... Ruthless villains to a one, the Black Order has been dispatched by the Grandmaster to destabilize a burgeoning empire, and along the way they come to realize that as big and as bad as they are, there is always someone bigger and badder... The bombastic writing style of novelist Derek Landy (Skulduggery Pleasant) and the electrifying artwork of Philip Tan combine for an absolutely unhinged super-villain adventure!

Lastly from Marvel, Uncanny X-Men #1 hits the racks on 11/14! THE CHILDREN OF THE ATOM ARE BACK! New ongoing series kicking off with a 10-part weekly epic, the flagship X-Men series that started it all is back and better than ever! Starting with a mysterious and tragic disappearance, the X-Men are drawn into what might be...their final adventure?! X-Fan favorite writers Ed Brisson (EXTERMINATION), Matthew Rosenberg (PHOENIX RESURRECTION) and Kelly Thompson (MR. & MRS. X) and all-star artists Mahmud Asrar (X-MEN RED), R.B. Silva (X-MEN BLUE), Yildiray Cinar (WEAPON X) and Pere Pérez (ROGUE AND GAMBIT) join forces to bring you...X-MEN DISASSEMBLED?!

From Boom! Studios and in stores on 11/14 is Firefly #1! BOOM! Studios, along with visionary writer and director Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Avengers), presents an all-new era of the pop culture phenomenon Firefly , as one of the most demanded stories in the franchise's history is revealed for the first time! Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, a defeated soldier who opposed the unification of the planets by the totalitarian governed Alliance, will undertake any job-legal or not-to stay afloat and keep his crew fed. Find out now how his story began as BOOM! Studios delves into Mals past, how he met his first mate Zoe and the real truth about the War of Unification, the intergalactic civil war that divided friend and family alike. Focusing on family, loyalty, identity, and the price of redemption, writer Greg Pak (Mech Cadet Yu, Totally Awesome Hulk) and artist Dan McDaid (Judge Dredd: Mega City Zero) take you back to the battleground where Mal's journey began.

From Valiant, Bloodshot is back in Bloodshot Rising Spirit #1. New ongoing series! Discover the true origin of Valiant's most unrelenting hero! Before a weapon is deployed in battle, it must be designed, refined, field-tested. Bloodshot was no exception. In the early days of the private military contractor Project Rising Spirit, the nanite-infused super-soldier who would one day become their most violent and valuable asset was a resource to be mined - and it was up to one enterprising employee to ensure he did what he was told.
