New Comics Release for 1/25/17

Im late, as usual, and its another big week, so here goes nothing!

From Dark Horse this week, metal legends Slayer take over comics with Slayer Relentless #1 hitting stands this week. Based on the brutal Repentless is based on their latest album and videos, this expansion of the video story line drives deep into the darkest heart of America, a raging road trip down a bloodstained highway, a tale of the doomed, the damned, and the repentless!

From DC this week, Kamandi Challenge #1 hits stands. Kamandi Challenge is a 12 issue series that focuses on Jack Kirbys creation of a young boy existing on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Each issue features an amazing creative team who will end the issue with an unimaginable cliffhanger that the next, different creative team must resolve before creating their own!

From Marvel this week, Star Wars #27 hits stands, and continues the awesome tale of Yoda! Written by Jason Aaron with art by Salvador Larocca, this issue finds master Yoda on an all new world full of vicious, mysteriously powered, children!

From Dynamite this week, Kiss the Demon #1 hits stands, and is a prequel to the current ongoing series. Written by Amy Chu, and Erik Burnham with art by Eman Casallos, this 4 issue miniseries centers around 3 young KISS fans who meet at a concert and form their own band unaware that they are about to embark on a journey that will not only change their lives, but also the fate of the world!

Lastly, From Boom this week, Ladycastle #1 hits the shelves. Written by Delilah Dawson with art by Ashley A Woods. When the king and his soldiers ride off on crusade, the women left behind are not at all put out. However, when all the men get themselves eaten by dragons and leave a curse that attracts monsters to their castle the women must reclaim their lives on their own terms, and fight, defend, build, and do all manner of noisy things the men had been doing while the women assumed they were just drunk!
