New Comics Release for 6/17/15

This week from Dark Horse we have a new issue of Ei8ht which is one of my favorite books right now, with amazing art by Rafael Albuquerque, and a very smart story that occurs in the past, present, future, and the Meld, a place between them all! We also get a new issue of Archie Vs Predator this week!

From DC this week we have the debut of some new series’ including Black Canary which sees Dinah as the lead singer of a band, as well as Doomed #1, Dr Fate #1 which sees the helm of Dr Fate passed on to someone with no idea what is is or does, and lastly, we have Justice League of America #1 with story, art, and cove by Brian Hitch!

From Image we get a new series called Astronauts in Trouble, which follows a late 50’s newsteam’s investigation into a homicide that ultimately takes them on a wild ride! This week also sees a new issue of Low, the beautiful underwater epic written by Rick Remender with art by Greg Tocchini and issue #7 starts a new story arc!

From Marvel this week we get Director’s Cuts of Both Star Wars #1 and Darth Vader #1! We also see two new Secret Wars Tie-ins with Squadron Sinister #1 and Thors #1 which bills itself as a “hard-hitting Marvel Comics police drama with lots and lots of hammers!”
